Combine wildlife rescue of trafficking victims with environmental education and wildlife protection, in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon!
Live a unique volunteer experience in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon. AmaZOOnico rescues wild animals that are victims of illegal trafficking, rehabilitates them, and reintroduces them into their natural habitat. Animals that cannot be released find refuge at the center.
As a volunteer, you will actively participate in their rehabilitation and contribute to educational programs that raise awareness about wildlife and environmental preservation, while making a tangible difference for Amazonian biodiversity.

The Mission of amaZOOnico
What?
Join amaZOOnico for a rewarding experience where you can actively participate in wildlife conservation. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the protection of wild animals and immerse yourself in the wild life of the Ecuadorian Amazon. Be a key player in preserving biodiversity while working in a unique setting.
Who?
We welcome individuals aged 18 and over who have a passion for wildlife conservation. A professional attitude and the ability to perform physical tasks in a hot and humid climate are essential. You must be comfortable working in a multicultural environment and living in a remote location. Fluency in English or Spanish is a must to communicate effectively with the team and other volunteers.
When?
Missions are available year-round, with flexible dates allowing you to choose the ones that suit you best. Arrivals and departures are only on Saturdays.
How long?
The minimum commitment is 4 weeks. The longer you stay, the less you pay! The cost covers food and accommodation, and includes a free amaZOOnico t-shirt.

3 homemade meals per day: Varied buffet with vegetarian options. Water, tea, and coffee included.
Accommodation in a shared dormitory or private cottage (depending on the option selected), with bed linen provided.
Access to a laundry room and weekly cleaning service
Wi-Fi available in common areas (occasional outages possible in the heart of the jungle)
International and domestic flights
Round-trip transportation to the sanctuary is the responsibility of the volunteer.
Medical and travel insurance (mandatory)
Personal toiletries (e.g. shampoo, sunscreen, insect repellent)
Wi-Fi : Not included. The connection is limited at the center.
