Join a purpose-driven mission with an iconic Costa Rican NGO, founded by two passionate children committed to animal welfare. Located in a tropical reserve near Manuel Antonio National Park, it has been working for over 20 years to protect wildlife and tropical ecosystems.
Immersed in the Costa Rican forest, you’ll take part in the rehabilitation of injured animals, reforestation projects, and environmental awareness efforts. A meaningful, responsible, and unforgettable adventure — to reconnect with what truly matters and take real action for the planet.

The Mission of KSTR
What ?
Join a purpose-driven mission in the heart of Costa Rica’s tropical forest, where you’ll help rehabilitate wild animals in an ethical sanctuary. Enrich their daily lives through stimulation activities, support the maintenance of enclosures, and help raise awareness among visitors about the importance of protecting biodiversity.
Who ?
For anyone aged 18 and over who is motivated by animal welfare and conservation. No prior experience is required, but a willingness to learn, work outdoors, and live in a community setting is essential.
When ?
Missions are available year-round, with a recommended arrival day. You’re free to choose your dates based on your availability, subject to space.
How long ?
The commitment can range from 1 week to several months, with discounted rates for stays over 30 days. Longer missions offer deeper immersion and access to more specialized tasks.

What’s Included in Your Fee

3 homemade meals per day: Varied buffet with vegetarian options. Water, tea, and coffee included.
Accommodation in a shared dormitory or private cottage (depending on the option selected), with bed linen provided.
Access to a laundry room and weekly cleaning service
What’s Not Included in Your Fee
International and domestic flights
Transfer to/from Quepos (town center or bus station) – optional and arranged upon request
Medical and travel insurance (mandatory)
Personal toiletries (e.g. shampoo, sunscreen, insect repellent)
Drinks outside of meals (e.g. soft drinks)
Excursions or personal activities outside the program
Wi-Fi available in common areas (occasional outages possible in the heart of the jungle)
