Your mission

What?

Take part in the rehabilitation of wild animals through hands-on tasks: preparing food, cleaning enclosures, observing behavior, enriching their daily lives, and raising awareness among visitors about biodiversity conservation in a unique tropical setting.

Who?

Open to anyone aged 18 and over, passionate about animal welfare, eager to learn more about biodiversity conservation, and ready to get actively involved in a tropical environment.

When?

The sanctuary welcomes volunteers year-round, with recommended arrival dates to make integration easier.

How long?

Commitments start from a minimum of 28 days, with the option to extend for several months. Longer stays offer deeper immersion and the chance to take part in more specialized tasks.

What’s Included in Your Fee

Vaya Planet Support: Personalized guidance before, during, and after your mission.

Accommodation (depending on the option chosen), with bed linen provided.

3-day initial training to get familiar with the center’s procedures and the animals in care.

Free Wi-Fi available in common areas, with connection quality depending on weather and the tropical environment.

An official t-shirt is provided upon arrival.

Participation in the volunteer day organized by the center.

A certificate of participation is issued at the end of the mission.

What’s Not Included in Your Fee

International and domestic flights.

Transfers from/to the airport or town to the center.

Medical and travel insurance (mandatory).

Personal toiletries (shampoo, sunscreen, insect repellent,... ).

Meals are not provided. However, a fully equipped shared kitchen is available for you.

Excursions, leisure activities, and other personal expenses.

Your contribution directly supports animal care, the protection of the tropical rainforest, and the sanctuary’s operations. You can choose to stay in a shared dormitory or opt for a private or shared bungalow for more comfort.
