For over 20 years, Kids Saving the Rainforest, an emblematic organization founded by Costa Rican children, has been working to preserve ecosystems and rehabilitate wild animals that are victims of trafficking or accidents.
As a volunteer, you will enjoy a unique immersion in the tropical rainforest, combining wildlife conservation, environmental education, and a lasting positive impact on the planet.

Your mission
What ?
You actively take part in the rehabilitation of wild animals within an ethical sanctuary.
On a daily basis, you contribute to their well-being through enrichment activities, enclosure maintenance, and by helping to raise visitors’ awareness about biodiversity protection.
Who ?
This mission is open to you if you are 18 years old or over, motivated by animal welfare and nature conservation.
When ?
Missions are available year-round.
You can choose your dates freely based on your availability, subject to space availability.
How long ?
From 1 week to several months: the longer you stay, the deeper your immersion in the project, the more skills you develop, and the more impactful and enriching your experience becomes.

These elements remain at your own expense to give you full freedom of organization.
Vaya Planet Support : personalized guidance before, during, and after your mission (preparation, selection, on-site support).
3 home-cooked meals per day : varied buffet with vegetarian options, water, tea, and coffee included.
Accommodation (depending on the option chosen), with bed linen provided.
Access to a laundry room and weekly cleaning service.
Wi-Fi available in common areas
International/domestic flights.
Transfer to/from Quepos (town center or bus station) – optional and available on request.
Medical and travel insurance (mandatory).
Personal toiletries (e.g. shampoo, sunscreen, insect repellent).
Drinks outside of meals (e.g. soft drinks).
Excursions or personal activities outside the program.
our contribution directly supports animal rehabilitation, biodiversity protection, and the daily operations of the sanctuary.
Choose shared dormitory accommodation for a friendly, communal experience, or a private cabin for added comfort and privacy.
All fees are clearly defined, with full transparency and no hidden costs.
Example contributions based on mission length :
4 weeks → from €1150 (≈ $1250) dormitory / €2300 (≈ $2500) private bungalow
6 weeks → from €1530 (≈ $1660) dormitory / €3240 (≈ $3520) private bungalow
8 weeks → from €1900 (≈ $2060) dormitory / €4200 (≈ $4560) private bungalow
